WHAT TO DO: Take a motorbike or bike and explore the area around the town of Kampot. Just by driving trough villages and stopping at random places, you will meet very friendly local people. On the salt fields you can take a look at the traditional way of making the salt. The fields are particularly beautiful in the afternoon, when there are great reflections in the water.

TIPS: when visiting salt fields try not to be like every other tourist that comes there – try to interact with workers, not just take pictures and pretend like they aren’t there. And try to lift the basket full of salt! 🙂
