With it’s smart position on the edge of the forest and a beautiful panoramic view of the Alps and Mt. Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia it’s a great place for a family vacation. There are a variety of winter activities to do, but in other seasons the whole family can enjoy in hiking, mountain biking and having fun in the alpine enivronment.
INSIDE THE CHALET
When you step into the chalet, you immediately feel a homely spirit and at the stylish interior impress you at the first sight.
It offers a comfortable stay for up to 4 persons and an extra bed if required in both 2 separate rooms with balcony. There is a bathroom located on the ground floor and an additional toilet in the first floor. The chalet is fully equipped with solid wooden furniture, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave oven. The fireplace provides an efficient heating source for the whole cottage and creates a romantic mountain atmosphere.
OUTSIDE THE CHALET
There is an outdoor storage shed (and a lot of sports equipment) behind the cottage, and enough space for sport activities (table football, basketball …) even in the winter. There is a large sunny terrace in front of the house. There is also a stone barbeque near the chalet, as well as a massive wooden counter and spacious picnic area, a swing and a tree house for kids.
LOCATION
The chalet is located only 45 minutes by car from Ljubljana and half an hour from the Jože Pučnik international airport. It is situated on the edge of a ski slope in the alpine pasture of Kriška planina, on Mt. Krvavec at an altitude of 1,500 m on the border of a magnificent spruce forest, just 100 m (5 minutes) from the nearest ski lifts of the Krvavec Ski Resort. The house is accessible by car. In the winter, transport to the chalet is possible by snowmobile from the upper cable station.
ACTIVITIES
It’s location is picture perfect: located on a quiet place, just near the ski resort, it offers you many winter activities. You can enjoy skiing, tobogganing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, paragliding, winter hiking and taking recreational family excursions. In other seasons, Chalet Alpinka is an excellent starting point for family excursions, walks and mountaineering, as well as mountain biking on many mountain biking trails. It is also a paradise for paragliding enthusiasts, who fill the sky above Krvavec when the thermal air currents are just right. The surrounding pastures are a treasure trove of medicinal herbs, from which alpine teas and other natural preparations can be made.
There is a great adventure park nearby, which is very interesting for children and adults.
